Volunteer Coordinator (one year contract)
OPTIONS Sexual Health Association is a non-profit, charitable organization that provides sexual health education and counseling services in Edmonton and surrounding communities.
The mission of OPTIONS is to empower individuals to make informed decisions regarding their sexual and reproductive well-being through, education, information and supportive programs and services. This is accomplished by respecting the individual’s values, beliefs, culture context and experiences.
Working in conjunction with agency staff, volunteers and board members, the Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for the development and maintenance of a comprehensive volunteer program, and organization of education/information events that will enhance and assist in the attainment of goals and objectives of the association.
The successful candidate will have a degree, diploma, or certification in Volunteer Management, Education, Social Work, or another related Human Service field plus related job experience. The successful candidate must have an ability to relate to individuals from diverse backgrounds. This position requires someone with excellent communication and organizational skills and is able to work both independently and with others and in a creative and flexible work environment.
The position is a part-time position (3 days/21 hours a week) and occasionally requires availability during evening and weekends. The successful candidate requires a valid Alberta driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle and must pass a Criminal Record Check.
